What it is like

A herb. it is 10-30 cm high. The stems are slender and with many branches. They curve upwards and are angled. The leaves are in rings of 3-5. The leaf blade is sword shaped and 1.5-4 cm long by 2-7 mm wide. The flowers are greenish. The fruit is a capsule. It has 3 valves. There are many seeds. They are kidney shaped.

There are about 35 Mollugo species. They are mostly in tropical and subtropical regions.


Where it is found

A subtropical plant. It grows in waste places and sands of the sea shore between 100-1800 m altitude in subtropical China.
