What it is like
A scrambling shrub or creeper. It can grow 3-20 m tall. The leaves are dark green and shiny above and more pale underneath. They are 1-5 cm long by 6-30 mm wide. The flowers have 5 parts and have a sweet scent. The fruit are round and 1.1-1.6 cm across.
