What it is like

A shrub. It grows 1-4 m tall. It can be a creeper. It loses its leaves during the year. The flowers appear the same time as the leaves. The small branches have a grey coating. The leaves are opposite and they can be round or oval. They are 2-8 cm long and 1-9 cm wide. The base is wedge shaped. The flowers are in groups of 1-6. The fruit are brown and cylinder shaped. They are 12-23 cm long by 2 cm wide. The seeds are 8-13 cm long and hairy.
