What it is like
A creeper. It grows up to 8 m long. The leaves are broadly oval and 7-15 cm long by 3-10 cm wide. The flowering shoots are 4-20 cm long. The flowers are in dense clusters. They are greenish-yellow outside and yellow-brown inside. The fruit are follicles 7-13 cm long by 5-10 mm wide.
Used in medicine.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in mountain forests often clinging to trees between 300-1,000 m above sea level in southern China.
