What it is like
A tree. It grows to 15 m high. The leaves have short stalks. They are oval or fattened near the base. They are leathery with teeth along the edge. They are woolly underneath. The flowers are white. They have a scent. They occur in flat topped clusters. The fruit is round and orange-yellow.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. In Nepal it grows between 1000-2500 m altitude. In China it grows in mixed forests between 500-2,800 m above sea level. In Vietnam it grows between 1,000-2,000 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
