What it is like
An annual climber. They have soft hairs. The vines twine counter-clockwise. The leaves have 3 leaflets. The end leaflet is diamond shaped. The side leaflets are oblique. They are 6-9 cm long and 5-7 cm wide. The flowers are purple-rose. The fruit are slightly curved pods. They are 10-15 cm long by 1.5 cm across. There are 5 to 6 seeds. They are greyish-white. They are 1.5 cm long.
