What it is like
A medium sized shrub. It grows 2.5-5 m tall and 1.5-3.5 m wide. It is partly parasitic on roots. Branches often are erect but can hang down. The leaves are -.15 cm long and spreading and pointed. The flowering stalk is short and has 3-15 flowers. The flowers are very small and yellow-green or orange. They are almost without stalks. The fruit is 0.8 cm long. They are fleshy.
Where it is found
It can grow on a range of soils and also in locations which are occasionally flooded. It can tolerate light frosts.
