What it is like
A shrub that lies along the ground. It is 1-2 m high. The rootstock is straight and stout and 1 m long. The branches are slender. They are covered with brown hairs. The leaves have 3 leaflets. The leaflets are oval and 4-9 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The flowers are rose-pink. The pods are round and 8-10 mm long by 5-6 mm across. There are 2 seeds.

It is a tropical plant. It is native to southern China.
