What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 2-5 m high. The young branches are 4 sided. The leaves are opposite and broadly sword shaped. They are 15-24 cm long by 3-4 cm wide. They have a tail and are round at the base. The flowers are pin. The fruit are urn shaped and 8 mm long by 7 mm wide. There are sevarl seeds.


Where it is found

It is native to Yunnan in southern China. It grows in forests along valleys between 420-950 m altitude.
