What it is like

A climbing herb. It grows 2 m tall. The stems can be hollow. The leaves are narrowly oval and 3-13 cm long by 2-6 cm wide. The fruit are shiny red berries. They are 5-12 mm across. The seeds are yellow.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in forests between 500-2,500 m above sea level in southern China. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
