What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It can grow 2-20 m tall. The young leaves and stems are hairy. The leaves are 9-30 cm long and 4-15 cm wide. The fruit is a round green berry.

It is a tropical plant. It grows i the high Andes. It grows between 2,000-3,500 m above sea level.
