What it is like

A sprawling annual herb. The leaves have 3 leaflets that are oval or wedge shaped. The flowers are 6-7 mm long. They are in clusters of 3. The pods are 9-18 mm long with 4-8 spirals. They have glandular hairs.

There are about 55 Medicago species.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows in waste places and on rocky ground. Tasmania Herbarium.
