What it is like
A large climber. It can grow 10 m long. The stems is 2 cm across. The branches are stout. They have a few prickles. The leaves are large and oval. They are 13-25 cm long by 8-17 cm wide. The fruit are round berries 1 cm across. They turn dark purple when ripe.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows from sea level to 1,500 m above sea level.
