What it is like
A branched shrub. It grows 2 m tall. The branches are hairy. The leaves are oval to sword shaped. There can be teeth along the edge. The flowers are reddish-purple and 8-15 mm long. The fruit is a black berry.
There are about 100 Fuchsia species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in mountain forests between 2,000-3,000 m above sea level.
