What it is like

A herb. The leaves have short stalks. They are 1.5-5 cm long by 0.5-1.6 cm wide. They are oval. The flowers are blue. They occur in the axils of leaves and in spikes without stalks at the ends of branches. The fruit is a capsule. It is oval.


Where it is found

It is a tropical and subtropical plant. In Nepal if grows up to about 2000 m altitude. It grows in open places and rock crevices.
