What it is like
A perennial plant. It grows 75-90 cm high and 90-120 cm wide. The leaves are blue-green and heavily texture and veined. The leaves can be 35 cm long and 25 cm wide. The flowers are pale mauve.
There are 70 Hosta species. Also put in the family Hostaceae.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. They are frost hardy. It suits hardiness zones 6-10.
