What it is like
A large shrub. It has a cone shaped crown. The leaves are bright green and 10 cm long. They are scalloped at the edges. The flowers are white to pink. The flowers occur in clusters of 3 to 8. The fruit are yellow to red. They vary in size and shape. They are on long stems.
There are about 35 Malus species and very many cultivated varieties.

It is a temperate plant. It suits hardiness zones 3-9.
