What it is like

A small shrub with creeping stems. It grows 25-30 cm high and spreads 90-120 cm wide. The stems have raised tips. The leaves are needle-like and densely cloth the stems. They are grey-green to bright green. The fruit are berry like and purplish black. They have a light bloom.

There are 50 to 60 Juniperus species.
