What it is like
A bamboo. It grows 2-4 m tall. The stems are 2-3 cm across. The internodes can be slightly 4 angled. They are 15-18 cm long. There are 2-5 leaves per branch. The leaf blade is 7-13 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The flowering branches are leafless.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows on hilltops between 1,300-1,700 m above sea level in Sichuan in China.
