What it is like
A bulb plant. It is a clumping plant. The leaves are strap like. They hang down. The flower stem is covered with fine hairs in its lower part. The flowers are yellow.
There are about 50 Eremurus species. It has also been put in the family Xanthorrhoeaceae.
Where it is found
It grows between 900-2600 m altitude. They need well drained soil and full sun. It suits hardiness zones 5-9.
