What it is like
A small herb. It forms tubers. These are 1-3 cm across. The leaves are shield shaped and 11-14 cm across. The stalk joins the leaf towards the middle. The leaf stalk is 9-19 cm long. The flowering shoot is 1-2 cm long. They are enclosed in a spathe. This is pink.
There are 2 Ariopsis species.

A tropical plant. It is common on the trunks of trees or on rocks.
