What it is like
A bamboo. It grows 1-5 m tall. The culms are up to 1.4 cm across. The internodes are 15-23 cm long. There are 3-10 branches at each node. There are 1-2 leaves on the last branch. The leaf blades are 6-10 cm long by 1 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows in central China between 2,800-3,000 m altitude. In Sichuan.
