What it is like
A tree. It grows 5-8 m tall. The leaves are dark green above and mid green underneath. The flowers are bright yellow. The fruit are green. The breaking branches have a smell of onion.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. In Norfolk Island it has been recorded at 240 m above sea level. In New Caledonia at 1,060 m above sea level.
