What it is like
A tree. It grows to 35 m high. The trunk is 35 cm across. The bark is smooth with small cracks to deep fissures. The leaves are 11-25 cm long. The leaflets are 4-14 cm long by 2.5-9 cm wide. The end leaflet is larger. There are 6-8 secondary veins on each side of the leaflets. The flowering cluster is 1.5.5 cm long. It is produced with the near leaves. They grow from the axils of the fallen leaves. The flowers are 2-2.5 mm long. The fruit is almost round and orange red to pinkish-yellow. The fruit is edible.
There are 5 Sandoricum species.

A tropical plant. It grows in peat swamp forest. It grows near sea level.
