What it is like
A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It can be erect or lying along the ground. It grows 5-120 cm high. It has many branches. The stems form roots at the base. The branches spread in the one plane. The leaves are divided four times. There are 2 outer rows and 2 inner rows pressed against the stem. The fertile parts of the stem are like a spike at the end of the stems.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In Indonesia is grow up to 750 m above sea level. It is often in humid shady places.
