What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 3-10 m tall. The small branches are pale brown. The leaves are narrowly oval and 6-11 cm long by 4-5 cm wide. The base is wedge shaped and unequal. There are 5-10 flowers in a group 2-3.5 cm long. The fruit are fleshy and 7-9 mm across.

Also put in the family Olacaceae.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows between 800-2,100 m above sea level. It occurs in Yunnan.
