What it is like

A creeper. The young branches do not have wings. The branches that bear leaves are elongated. The leaves are oval and 4-8 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The flowers are at the base of young shoots. They have bracts near them. The fruit are red and 5-10 mm long by 4-7 mm wide.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in forests near rivers between 1,300-2,900 m above sea level. It grows in Sichuan and Yunnan.
