What it is like

A tree. It grows 10 m tall. The leaf stalks are 15-45 cm long. The leaves have 5-7 leaflets. These are oblong or oval and 10-24 cm long by 3-12 cm wide. They are hairy underneath. The flowers are in a group of heads at the top of the plant. The fruit are round and 5 cm across. They have 5 ribs.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in evergreen, broad-leaved forests in wet places in valleys between 1,500-2,700 m above sea level. It grows in Yunnan in China. In XTBG Yunnan.
