What it is like
A shrub or small tree. The twigs are hairy and the bark is greyish brown. The leaves are 4-8 cm long by 2-3.5 cm wide. The fruit capsule has 3 lobes and is 6-8 mm long. It turns from green to dark brown. The seeds are 3 sided.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in coastal dry forests.
