What it is like
A tree. It grows 30 m tall. The bark is greyish brown and has shallow cracks. The branches spread sideways or hang down. The end small branches are 4 angled. The leaves are in 4 ranks. The seed cones are yellowish grey when ripe. They are oval and 2.5-4 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. There are 8-14 cone scales each with 8-20 seeds.
