What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 2-3 m tall. The leaves are opposite. They are sword shaped and 10-12 cm long by 3-4 cm wide. There are several flowers in a group.

There are about 400 Ixora species. They grow in tropical countries.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in sparse forest in Tibet between 1,200-1,500 m above sea level.
