What it is like
An annual herb. It grows 10-40 cm high. The leaves both at the base and on the stems are broadly oval and 2-6 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. They have lobes along the side. The leaves on the stems do not have leaf stalks. The flowers are small and yellow. They occur singly in the axils of the leaves. The pods are 6-8 mm long and 1-2 mm wide. There are many seeds. They are oval and reddish-brown.
Where it is found
It grows in central and eastern China. It grows in wetlands, waysides and on the edges of fields. It grows from near sea level to 1,500 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
