What it is like
A bamboo. It grows 4 m tall and the culms are 1.5-2.5 cm across. The internodes are 15-17 cm long. There are 7-18 branches at each node. There are 1 or 2 leaves at the last branch. The leaf blade is 4-10 cm long by 5-10 mm wide.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows in Yunnan in China between 2,700-3,700 m altitude.
