What it is like
A woody creeper. It grows 12 m long. The leaves are narrowly oval to oblong. The flowers are in the axils of leaves. The fruit is almost round and fleshy. It is 2-3 cm across. There are 1-2 seeds.
It is also put in the family Hippocrataceae.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in thickets and forests in the lowlands and up to 1,200 m above sea level. It is also found on beaches.
