What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1 m tall. It has 3-7 spines at the nodes. The leaves are broadly oval and 2-3 cm long by 3-5 cm wide. The base is heart shaped and they have 3-5 lobes. There are teeth along the edge. The flowers can occur singly or as 2 or 3. They are greenish-white or tinge with pink. The fruit are round and red. They are 1.2-1.5 cm across.
