What it is like

A shrub. It grows 1-3 m tall. Young shoots are scaly and brown and old branches are a deep grey. The leaves are oblong and 3-4 cm long by 2 cm wide. They are scaly underneath. The flowers are in groups of 2-4 at the ends of branches. They have a scent. They are funnel shaped and yellow.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in mixed forests on dry slopes between 1,800-3,100 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
