What it is like
A shrub. It can grow attached to trees. It grows 1-3 m tall. The bark on old branches is dark purple and smooth and peels off. The leaves are narrowly oval and 7-12 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. There are scales underneath. The flowers are in groups of 4-5 at the ends of branches. They have a scent. They are funnel shaped and white with yellow markings inside.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in broad-leaved forests by rivers between 1,200-1,600 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
