What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 3-4 m tall. The young shoots are pale brown. They have a few scales. The leaves are oval and 6-10 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. They are a pinkish green colour underneath. The flowers are at the ends of branches in groups of 2-4. They have a scent. They are funnel shaped and white with a tinge of pale red.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in evergreen broad-leaved forests between 2,000-3,000 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
