What it is like

A medium sized shrub or small tree. It grows to about 3-10 m tall and spreads to about 3 m across. It has bluish leaves and dark red new growth. The leaves are simple and 6-10 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. The flowers are fluffy cream. The fruit are purple-blue. They are 4-5 cm long. There are 1-3 seeds. They are 18-32 mm long.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It suits full sun but can also grow in shade. It grows in vine thickets and open forest. It grows between 50-220 m altitude.
