What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It can grow 22 m tall. The trunk can be 20 cm across. The leaves have 4-6 pairs of leaflets. The fruit is narrowly oval sideways and can have 2 lobes. It is 1 cm long by 1.5 cm wide. It is red or dark purple.

It is endemic to Sarawak near Kuching.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in secondary forest from sea level to 100 m above sea level.
