What it is like
A bush or small tree. It grow up to 2 m tall. The leaves are simple and opposite. The leaf blades are 6-10 cm long by 5-8 cm wide. The leaves taper to the tip and are wedge shaped at the base. The flowers are in groups at the ends of branches. These are 6-30 cm long. The fruit are 2-3 mm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in humid places between 500-1,400 m altitude.
