What it is like

A ginger family plant. The false stems are up to 1.2 m tall. The leaves do not have stalks. The leaf blade is narrowly sword shaped and 20-40 cm long by 4-8 cm wide. The flowers are white.

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in forests in Sichuan in China at about 500 m altitude.
