What it is like
An erect shrub. It grows up to 8 m tall. The leaves are softly hairy underneath and rough above. The fruit are red berries. They are less than 5 mm across.
There are about 50 Ehretia species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows from low altitudes to 1600 m. It is often near rivers and on termite mounds.
