What it is like
A trailing herb. The leaves have leaf stalks. The leaves are 12-19 cm long by 10-18 cm wide. They are almost round. They are heart shaped at the base. The flowers are pinkish. The fruit is a flattened berry.
There are about 95 Ampelocissus species.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows in forests at about 1,100 m above sea level. In Nepal it grows between 700-2000 m altitude. In Yunnan.
