What it is like
A small tree. It grows 23-30 m tall. The trunk can be 68 cm wide. It can have buttresses 75 cm high. The leaves are narrowly oval and 16-24 cm long by 7-10 cm wide. The fruit have stinging hairs. The fruit are grey-green. The fruit are 3-4 cm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In Malaysia it grows between 300-500 m above sea level.
