What it is like
A tree. It grows 50 m tall. The leaves are alternate and simple. They are hairy underneath. The flowers are 5 mm across. They are green to yellow. The fruit are 4 cm across. They are green to yellow-brown. The seeds have a sweet fleshy layer or aril around them.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in mixed forests up to 1,600 m above sea level. It can be on sandy, clay or limestone soils.
