What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 3-4 m tall. The bark is dark grey and cracked. The leaves are whitish green. The fruit are bright and shiny red.
Psychotria bracteosa Valeton is an illegitimate name - a synonym of Psychotria lolokiensis S. Moore while Psychotria bracteosa Hiern is a synonym of Peripeplus bracteosus (Hiern.) A. M. A Petit. an African species.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In Papua New Guinea it is recorded in Central Province.
