What it is like

The flowers are small and white. They are in slender clusters behind the leaves. These are 8 cm long. The fruit are about 1.5 cm long. They are dark red to purple-black. They are round. There is one seed.

A tropical plant. It grows in open savannah and along streams. It grows between 500-1,000 m above sea level.
