What it is like

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. The flowering stems are 10-45 cm tall. The leaves at the base are 3-25 cm long. They have 6-18 pairs of leaflets.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. In China it grows in forests, meadows and mountain slopes as well as near streams. It grows between 2,200-4,600 m above sea level. It grows in Sichuan and Yunnan in China.
