What it is like

A shrub. It can grow 2-5 m high. The leaves are large and 90 cm long. They are made up of about 20 oval leaflets. They are sickle shaped. The leaf stalks do not have sheaths. The leaflets are 7-11 cm long by 4-6 cm wide. The edges are wavy. They can be curled under in their lower section. The flowers are in a flat topped group at the top fo the plant. There are 9-12 flowers. The fruit are flattened on the sides with 3 faces.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It is recorded between 200-300 m above sea level in Vanuatu.
